I've been eating cookies for my entire life. It's a blessing and curse that the universe fated for me long before I even existed, I guess. Though, I guess you could argue that's all part of a larger sweet tooth I have, which is not uncommon for a Sagittarius. My quest for cookies knows no bounds, and in my worldly travels I've found few things that rival a truly excellent chocolate chip cookie. It's the perfect dessert — satisfying, nostalgic, portable, universally loved.

My pursuit of chocolate chip cookies led me to create my ideal, my holy grail, my one true confectioned match. It was after a trip to the American Southwest that I set out on this task, inspired by my own personal obsession Mesoamerican elixirs and spicy chocolates. Months and months of tinkering with just the right amount of sugars, the most perfect extracts, and the finest chocolate gave way to Jannuzzi's Cookies. The marquis, the star, the lead act is "The Duke," a chocolate chip cookie named after my favorite dog. It's the one you'll most commonly find here, though it has a host of peanut butter, sugar, and cinnamon counterparts that pop up from time to time.

Making these cookies for my colleagues everywhere from GQ to Twitter, my family, and my friends has been an adventure. Each delivery bringing slightly new thoughts on what to do next. One thing was always clear though: cookies, and a little bit of humor are the key.
